Google is trying to get a license to cooperate with Huawei

One of the main problems that Huawei has faced due to sanctions from the American government is the inability to use Google’s proprietary services and applications in its smartphones and tablets. Because of this, Huawei is actively developing its own application ecosystem, which should become a replacement for Google products. Now it has become known that Google has appealed to the American government with a request to lift the restriction on cooperation with Huawei.

Google is trying to get a license to cooperate with Huawei

The report said that Sameer Camat, vice president of Android product management, confirmed in a conversation with reporters that Google had asked the White House to lift restrictions that prevent the company from doing business with the Chinese manufacturer. Unfortunately, Mr. Samat did not specify when Google expects to receive a response from the US government regarding this issue.

Let us remind you that the White House allowed American companies to apply for licenses that will allow them to continue cooperation with the Chinese company Huawei. Some companies, such as Microsoft, have already been given the green light to resume business relationships with Huawei, allowing the Chinese company to once again use the Windows software platform and other Microsoft products in its products.

If Google receives a license, the company will be able to offer Huawei its proprietary applications and services. Not long ago, Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu said that if the opportunity arises, the company will immediately update the software of the new flagship Mate 30 series smartphones, which are currently sold without Google services and applications.
