According to Google Cloud developers, the virtual AI agent will help interested organizations (for example, from the field of financial and travel services, retail trade) quickly deploy a chatbot platform that will answer questions about the coronavirus around the clock through text and voice chats.

The new service is available worldwide in 23 supported languages dialog flow – basic Contact Center AI technology. Dialogflow is a tool for developing chatbots and interactive voice responses (IVR).

The Rapid Response Intelligent Virtual Agent allows customers to use Dialogflow to set up chat conversations with users looking for information about COVID-19. Customers can also integrate open source templates from organizations with similar digital tools. For example, Google subsidiary Verily partnered with Google Cloud to launch an open source Pathfinder virtual agent template for healthcare systems and hospitals.

A month earlier, Google Cloud had already shared the appropriate tools in response to the spread of the pandemic. For example, until April 30, the company is offering free access to its Google Cloud learning resources, including a course catalog, Qwiklabs labs, and Cloud OnAir interactive webinars.

Meanwhile, as Google uses tools like Contact Center AI to provide the public with reliable information about COVID-19, the corporation is also fights with an increasing tide of misinformation infiltrating its own designs. For example, Google is removing coronavirus-related Android apps from independent developers.
