Google Stadia will support more Pixel smartphones and other platforms

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Google Stadia support would extend to the Google Pixel 2 smartphones. Now this information has been confirmed, and Google has also announced that at launch, along with the Pixel 2, the Pixel 3, 3a, Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3a XL will also receive support. The recently announced Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are also on the list.

Next month after launch (December), Google intends to expand compatibility to iOS devices, which will also be able to stream games through the Stadia app. iOS 11 and Android 6.0 Marshmallow platforms are mentioned as minimum system requirements. After installing the Stadia app on your device, you will need to register an account before you can play the games you purchased.

Google Stadia will support more Pixel smartphones and other platforms

If at first all Pixel smartphones except the first generation are supported, then next year more devices will be added (primarily, probably, from famous manufacturers). Chrome OS tablets will also have access to Stadia, along with most PCs running Windows, macOS or Linux using the Google Chrome browser.

Google's Stadia and the Stadia Controller will be available initially in the following key markets: US, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Italy, UK, Sweden and Spain. To play on your TV, you'll need a Google account, a Stadia controller, a Google Chromecast Ultra, the Stadia app, and at least Android 6.0 or iOS 11.0 on your phone to manage the account, plus an internet connection of at least 10Mbps.
