Google to remove over 100 DO Global apps from Play Store

Google is blocking a major developer from publishing apps on the Play Store. In addition, previously published applications from DO Global will be removed due to the fact that the developer was caught in advertising fraud. Online sources say that about half of the applications created by DO Global are no longer available for download from the Play Store. In total, Google will block access to more than a hundred of the company's software products. Note that applications from DO Global, in which the Chinese technology giant Baidu has a stake, have been downloaded more than 600 million times.

Google to remove over 100 DO Global apps from Play Store

Despite the fact that DO Global is not the first company to be sanctioned by Google, this developer is one of the largest. It is possible that DO Global will no longer be able to operate on the AdMod network, which allows you to profit from published applications. This means that the developer will lose the vast mobile advertising market controlled by Google.

The decision to remove DO Global applications was made after researchers found code in six of the developer's software products that allows them to drive clicks on commercials. The study found that some apps had similar names and their DO Global affiliation was hidden, which violates Play Store policy.
