Government agencies of Russia began the transition to ASTRA Linux β„’

In the Ivanovo region, a large-scale transition of government agencies to domestic software has begun. According to the regional Department for Development of the Information Society, executive bodies have begun the transition from Windows OS to operating systems of the Astra Linux family.

FSTEC and the Federation Council proposed to completely ban the use of foreign IT solutions at critical infrastructure facilities (CII), which include government agencies, by January 2021.

Government personnel are trained to use new software at the Astra Linux training center, based at Ivanovo State University.
