The GPL code from Telegram was taken by the Mail.ru messenger without complying with the GPL

Developer Telegram Desktop foundthat the im-desktop client from Mail.ru, (apparently, this is a desktop client myteam) copied the old self-written animation engine from Telegram Desktop without any changes (according to the author himself, not of the best quality). At the same time, not only was Telegram Desktop not initially mentioned, but the code license was changed, respectively, from GPLv3 to Apache, which is unacceptable according to the requirements of GPLv3.

As you can see from the code, something was added, but initially the content was transferred simply as a blueprint with minimal changes: mail-ru-im code /
telegram desktop code. On August 6, after the repost of information in some Telegram chats, the mention of authorship was
added, however the relicensing from GPLv3 to the more permissive Apache 2.0 still remains. Accordingly, there is a potential possibility of a lawsuit from Telegram against Mail.Ru Group.
