Developers from the Polish studio Mechanistry announced the The release date for the final version of its beaver-themed city-building strategy game, Timberborn, which has been in early access since September 2021.
As a reminder, during its four and a half years of Early Access, Timberborn has earned 33 "extremely positive" reviews from Steam users (a 95% rating), received seven major updates, and sold over 1 million copies.
As it became known, the release version of Timberborn will be released in Steam, GOG и Epic Games Store already on March 5, 2026. The announcement was accompanied story trailer, which will become its introductory video when version 1.0 launches.
Players will lead one of two beaver factions (Tails of Peace or Iron Teeth), build and develop their colony, establish production, and prepare for periods of drought and waves of toxic waste.
Timberborn already offers vertical architecture, 3D water physics, terraforming, unique buildings and technologies for each faction, a map editor, mod support, and Russian language support.
The developers of Timberborn are not saying what exactly is included in 1.0, but they are inviting the impatient to evaluate the update in experimental branchThe game currently costs 1200 rubles ($35), but may go up upon release.
