Grand Theft Auto IV returns to Steam today, but it won't be available for purchase until next week

Ahead of the return of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV to digital shelves Rockstar Games on your official website announced the game's re-release schedule.

As it turned out thanks to an update to the February instructions, on March 19, the full edition of Grand Theft Auto IV on Steam will be available only to those users who already own the game or a set of add-ons for it.

Next Tuesday, March 24, Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition will be available on Steam and the Rockstar Games Launcher, where CD key owners will also have the opportunity to activate their copy.

Finally, in April (the exact date is still unknown), players who purchased Grand Theft Auto IV or Episodes from Liberty City through the Games for Windows Live digital store will be able to access the project in the Rockstar Games Launcher using their Social Club account.

Recall that Grand Theft Auto IV without warning disappeared from Steam in January due to how it turned out later, the impossibility of further generating new activation keys for Games for Windows Live.

Upon returning to sale, the digital PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV will lose support for Games for Windows Live and the network component (including the leaderboard), but will acquire achievements.

Grand Theft Auto IV was released in April 2008 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and reached PC in December. Unlike fifth the famous open-world action series, the quadriquel was not released on current generation consoles.
