Hackers hacked the latest version of Denuvo in Borderlands 3

Hackers are celebrating another victory over Denuvo. The Codex group hacked the latest version of DRM protection in Borderlands 3. The game is already freely available on the relevant resources. The same anti-piracy protection is used in Mortal Kombat 11, Anno 1800 and a number of other games that have not yet appeared on torrent trackers.

The hackers did not say whether the remaining projects using the latest version of Denuvo would be made publicly available. We remind you: in early January, an anonymous group of hackers overcame DRM protection in Total War: Three Kingdoms a week after the release of the strategy. Then the hackers reported that β€œDenuvo is dead.” However, other spring projects, including the aforementioned Mortal Kombat 11 and Anno 1800, continue to successfully hold their own.

It is unclear whether Gearbox Software and 2K Games will remove Denuvo from Borderlands 3. After the hack, DRM protection became useless, but the developers and publisher have not yet commented on this matter. It is appropriate to mention here that the authors of the YouTube channel Overlord Gaming at the end of 2018 held research, which demonstrated the negative impact of Denuvo on gaming performance.
