Characteristics of the flagship Huawei Mate 30 Pro revealed before the announcement

The Chinese company Huawei will present the flagship smartphones of the Mate 30 series on September 19 in Munich. A few days before the official announcement, detailed technical specifications of the Mate 30 Pro appeared on the Internet, which were published by an insider on Twitter.

According to available data, the smartphone will have a Waterfall display with highly curved sides. Without taking into account the curved sides, the display diagonal is 6,6 inches, and with them – 6,8 inches. The applied panel supports a resolution of 2400 Γ— 1176 pixels (corresponding to Full HD+ format). The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area. It is also reported that the display is made using AMOLED technology, and the frame refresh rate is 60 Hz.

The main camera of the device is formed from four sensors placed in a round module on the back of the case. The 40 MP Sony IMX600 sensor with f/1,6 aperture is complemented by 40 and 8 MP sensors, as well as a ToF module. The main camera will receive a xenon flash and a color temperature sensor. The front camera is based on a 32-megapixel module, which is complemented by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a ToF sensor. Support for Face ID 2.0 technology is mentioned, which recognizes faces faster and more accurately.  

The hardware basis of the flagship will be the proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chip, which is distinguished by high performance and supports operation in fifth generation communication networks (5G). The device will receive 8 GB of RAM and a built-in storage of 512 GB. The power source is a 4500 mAh battery with support for 40 W fast charging and 27 W wireless charging. The device runs Android 10 with the proprietary EMUI 10 interface. Google services will not be pre-installed by the manufacturer, but users will be able to do it themselves.  

The message also says that the device will receive a physical power button, but it is proposed to use the touch panel to adjust the volume. The smartphone supports the installation of two nano SIM cards, but does not have a standard 3,5 mm headset jack.

The probable cost of Huawei Mate 30 Pro has not been announced. It is important to remember that the official characteristics of the device may differ from those provided by the source. The Mate 30 Pro is expected to launch initially in China and later hit other markets.
