Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) notified regulators on Wednesday that its systems were hacked on December 12 in which hackers gained unauthorized access to its cloud-based email accounts. HPE believes the hack was carried out by the allegedly Russian-backed hacker group Midnight Blizzard, also known as Nobelium, which Microsoft previously accused of hacking the email accounts of a number of executives.
