Honor brand, owned by Huawei, announced the MagicBook Pro 2019 Ryzen Edition portable computer, which is based on the AMD hardware platform.
The laptop has a 16,1-inch Full HD display (1920 × 1080 pixels). The bezels are just 4,9mm wide, so the screen takes up 90% of the lid's surface area. Claimed to be 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.
The laptop can be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H (2,1-3,7 GHz) processor with Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics or an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H (2,3-4,0 GHz) chip with Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics.
The amount of RAM DDR4-2400 is 8 GB or 16 GB. Storage is handled by a 512GB PCIe SSD.
The equipment includes wireless adapters Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2,4 / 5 GHz) 2 × 2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.0, a fingerprint scanner, a 1-megapixel webcam, USB Type-C ports, USB 3.0 Type-A (× 3) and HDMI. Claimed battery life on a single battery charge reaches 8,5 hours.
The laptop is running Windows 10 Home. The price, depending on the configuration, varies from 660 to 730 US dollars. A special version with Linux (Ryzen 5 and 8 GB of RAM) will cost $615.
