Lionsgate has partnered with Scottgames, Steel Wool Games and Striker Entertainment to announce Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted for PlayStation VR, SteamVR, Oculus and HTC Vive.
Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted will be a VR adaptation of the famous horror. Scott Cawthon, creator of Five Nights at Freddy's, wants to give fans of the game new ways to experience the series. Lionsgate chose Steel Wool Games to develop this project because they are fans of the franchise and understand how to bring it to virtual reality. The studio has games such as Bounce, Mars Odyssey and QUAR: Battle for Gate 18 on its account.
"For as long as we've been talking about VR here at Lionsgate, we've been dreaming of bringing Five Nights at Freddy's to VR," said Daniel Engelhardt, Senior Vice President, Lionsgate Interactive Enterprise and Games. “Original games fit perfectly into virtual reality. It's a beloved franchise."
Five Night at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted will release in April 2019.
