Beyond the flagship and advanced , HP also introduced Pavilion Gaming gaming laptops in the entry-level price segment. New items are positioned by the manufacturer as a universal solution that is suitable for everyday use, and for work, and for games.

Two models were presented, Pavilion Gaming 15 and Pavilion Gaming 17, which differ from each other in display sizes. In the first case, a 15,6-inch panel is used, while in the second, a 17,3-inch one. As standard, displays have a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a frequency of 60 Hz. Versions with displays with the same resolution and a frequency of 144 Hz and with a resolution of 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels) and a frequency of 60 Hz will also be available. It is noted that the displays are surrounded by rather thin frames, due to which the overall dimensions of computers are reduced.

Pavilion Gaming laptops are based on the ninth-generation Intel Core H-series (Coffee Lake-H Refresh) processors with four or six cores, respectively, these are Core i5 and Core i7 chips. Packages with various discrete graphics cards will be available, up to the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q. Note that this accelerator is able to provide a very good level of performance in modern games. According to HP, the Pavilion Gaming 15 and 17 laptops will be excellent solutions for "mainstream gaming".

New items are made in plastic cases up to 23 mm thick. Responsible for heat dissipation is a new improved cooling system with a pair of rather large fans and significantly enlarged ventilation holes on the bottom and rear of the case. According to the manufacturer, at maximum load, the noise level of the new Pavilion Gaming does not exceed 39 dBA.

The Pavilion Gaming 15 and Pavilion Gaming 17 entry-level gaming laptops will be available this month for $800 and $850, respectively.
