HP ZBook Studio and ZBook Create: Thin Mobile Workstations with Quadro/GeForce RTX and Comet Lake-H

HP has updated its ZBook series of notebooks with the introduction of the ZBook Studio and ZBook Create. The company positions the novelties as mobile workstations for people of creative professions, namely professionals working with graphics, photos, videos, etc.

Notebooks ZBook Studio and Create differ only in graphics cards. The ZBook Studio model is equipped with various NVIDIA Quadro professional accelerators up to the flagship Quadro RTX 5000. In turn, ZBook Create offers NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards, up to the flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Super. Otherwise, the new items are identical.

Both variants of the ZBook are equipped with a 15,6-inch display with thin bezels. The display can be built on an OLED or IPS panel with a resolution up to 4K (3840 Γ— 2160 pixels) and a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m2. It also declares 3% coverage of the DCI-PXNUMX color space.

As a central processor in the ZBook, various Intel chips can be used up to the eight-core Core i9 of the Comet Lake-H generation and some Intel Xeon. By the way, a cooling system with an evaporation chamber is responsible for heat removal. The manufacturer does not specify how much RAM the new ZBooks will be able to carry, and how capacious their drives will be. Only the use of high-speed PCIe SSDs is mentioned.

Updated ZBook laptops are β€œpacked” in aluminum cases with dimensions of 354 Γ— 234,6 Γ— 17,5 mm. The manufacturer notes that they are the most productive mobile workstations in terms of case volume. In addition, they boast a highly reliable chassis that meets MIL STD 810G standards. Finally, the manufacturer claims a battery life of up to 17,5 hours.
