Huawei is actively developing its own analogues of Google applications

Even though the US government continues to put heavy pressure on Huawei, the Chinese tech giant is showing no signs of weakness. In fact, US sanctions have forced Huawei to look for alternatives that make the company stronger and more independent.

Huawei is actively developing its own analogues of Google applications

Network sources report that Huawei is currently actively collaborating with Indian software developers, creating their own analogues of Google's most popular applications. The company took this step because of the ban on the use of Google applications and services in new Huawei and Honor smartphones. Although these applications are not important in the home market, outside of China it is much more difficult to sell smartphones without the software familiar to every Android device user.

Huawei and Honor India CEO Charles Peng has confirmed that the Chinese tech giant is preparing analogues of popular Google apps. “We already have Huawei Mobile Services and we are trying to form a mobile ecosystem. Most key applications such as navigation, payments, games and messaging will be ready by the end of December,” Mr Peng said in a recent interview. This message shows that Huawei does not intend to give up, and in the future the company will try to impose competition on Google. However, this will be extremely difficult to do, since Google’s application portfolio is very large and creating real competitors to solutions such as Google Maps, Gmail, Google Pay, YouTube and the Play Store will not be easy.

Huawei continues to try to attract software developers to develop its own mobile ecosystem. The Chinese company offers favorable conditions and good rewards to those who will support Huawei Mobile Services. It is possible that in the future Huawei will be able to compete with Google in the mobile application market, achieving success where many companies have failed.
