Network sources have released a new piece of information about the flagship Kirin 990 processor, which is being developed by the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei.

It is reported that the chip will include modified computing cores with the ARM Cortex-A77 architecture. The performance increase will be about 20% compared to the Kirin 980 product with comparable power consumption.

The basis of the graphics subsystem will be the accelerator Mali-G77 GPU with twelve cores. This block will boast a 50% increase in performance compared to the Kirin 980.

Earlier it was reported that the new processor will include the Balong 5000 5G cellular modem, which provides support for fifth-generation mobile networks.
