Huawei and Vodafone Launch 5G Home Internet in Qatar

Despite US pressure on Huawei, large eminent companies continue to cooperate with the Chinese manufacturer. For example, in Qatar, the well-known mobile operator Vodafone introduced a new proposal for home Internet based on 5G networks - Vodafone GigaHome. This cutting-edge solution comes from a collaboration with Huawei.

Virtually any household can connect to Vodafone GigaHome thanks to a state-of-the-art gigabit Wi-FiHub access point powered by GigaNet (including 5G and fiber optic lines) and providing Wi-Fi signal to all rooms. In addition, various free services are provided to users, including live broadcasting, streaming TV shows and movies from all over the world. Vodafone GigaHome does not require a setup fee.

The basic package includes a network connection with a speed of up to 100 Mbps, supports up to 6 terminals at the same time, and costs 360 Qatari riyals ($99) per month. The standard package provides speeds up to 500 Mbps, and the price is 600 Qatari riyals ($165) per month. The VIP package provides full speed 5G connectivity, supports more than 10 terminals connected at the same time, and costs 1500 QAR ($412) per month.
