Huawei did not change orders to suppliers after being blacklisted in the US

Huawei has issued a rebuttal to press reports that after making Blacklisted by the US Department of Commerce, it was forced to reduce orders from its main suppliers of components for the production of smartphones and telecommunications equipment.

“We are at normal levels of global production, with no noticeable adjustments in either direction,” a Huawei spokesperson told Reuters on Thursday, adding that the company’s targets for smartphone sales “have not changed.”

Recall that the Nikkei resource reported earlier, citing its own sources, that Huawei had to reduce orders for the supply of components for smartphones and telecommunications equipment due to restrictive measures of the US authorities, as well as revise production plans.
