The Huawei P30 Pro uses a quadruple main camera, which is again adorned with the Leica logo. Leading the pack is a 40MP SuperSpectrum sensor with an ƒ/1,6 lens (focal length 27mm), OIS, PDAF, and ISO 409 maximum ISO. An 600MP RGB sensor with a modest ƒ/ 8, but a decent declared 3,4x zoom without loss of quality and also an optical stabilization system. The third module has a resolution of 5 megapixels and a wide-angle lens with an aperture of ƒ / 20. The fourth sensor is not directly involved in the photo process, as it belongs to the ToF (Time-of-Flight) class and is used only in augmented reality applications.

Apparently, the Huawei P30 Pro's ability to zoom in on subjects was the main reason why DxOMark awarded the smartphone the highest mark to date for the quality of the built-in camera. At least, it was this function that the experts of the site first of all mentioned in the results of testing. However, they also noted good detail, confident camera performance in low light conditions, including with flash, accurate background selection in bokeh mode. There were also some complaints: in some cases, experts noted the unnatural colors of the sky in the pictures on the street. A detailed report on testing the Huawei P30 Pro camera in English with sample photos is available on the DxOMark website.
