Huawei plans to release new smartphones P300, P400 and P500

Huawei P series smartphones are traditionally flagship devices. The latest models in the series are the P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite smartphones. It is logical to assume that the P40 models will appear next year, but until then, the Chinese manufacturer may release several more smartphones. It has become known that Huawei has registered trademarks, which indicates plans to change the name of the series or expand it.

Huawei Technologies filed three trademark applications with the UK Intellectual Property Office this week. Trademarks P300, P400 and P500 belong to the category of devices “Smartphones, mobile phones, tablets”. It is worth noting that Huawei has never previously released P series smartphones with a similar name, so it is unknown what devices will be hidden behind these names.

It is possible that the company's next flagship will be called not P40, but P400. In this case, the P300 may become the P40 Lite, and the P500 may become the P40 Pro. It can also be assumed that Huawei plans to expand the P-series by adding new models. The P40 trademark application was registered back in 2017. This means that the manufacturer planned to release a smartphone with that name, but plans could change.

New premium P-series smartphones are expected to launch next year. Typically, the P-series devices appeared in the first half of the year, and the Mate series smartphones were introduced in the second half of the year. New items in the Mate series should be presented this fall. The manufacturer is probably preparing to release the Mate 30, Mate 30 Lite and Mate 30 Pro smartphones.
