Huawei will introduce a new smartphone on October 17 in France

Chinese tech giant Huawei last month presented new flagship smartphones of the Mate series. Now, network sources report that the manufacturer intends to launch another flagship, the distinguishing feature of which will be a display without any cutouts or holes.

Jeb Su, chief analyst at Atherton Research, tweeted the images, adding that Huawei will "launch a new category of smartphones on October 17 in Paris." The image shows a device that does not have a notch or punch-hole display.

It is possible that the Chinese company is preparing to introduce a smartphone with a front camera placed under the display surface. Prototypes of a smartphone with an under-display camera were shown earlier this year. Since the Chinese company recently unveiled flagship smartphones, it's hard to say if it actually plans to launch another device this year.

The report says that the French media have received an invitation to the Huawei event scheduled for October 17. The source says that the email received by journalists from France refers to the presentation of a new series of smartphones. Official representatives of Huawei have not yet commented on this issue. What the Chinese company is actually preparing to introduce to the European market will become known next week, when the planned event will take place.
