According to IDC, Huawei is now in third place in the list of leading smartphone manufacturers. Last year, this company sold 206 million "smart" cellular devices, taking 14,7% of the world market as a result.

At the same time, Huawei is rapidly increasing sales of "smart" cellular devices. For example, in the EMEA region (Europe, including Russia, the Middle East and Africa), the company increased shipments of smartphones by 73,7% in the fourth quarter of last year. Huawei's market share in the respective market is 21,2%. The company is second only to the South Korean giant Samsung, which occupies 28,0% of the smartphone market in the EMEA region.

According to Richard Yu, Huawei will be able to overtake Samsung in sales of "smart" cellular devices by the end of 2020. And this means that Huawei will become a leader in the respective market.

At the same time, the head of Huawei admits that Samsung will remain the company's main competitor in the smartphone segment in the coming years. In addition, Huawei sees Apple as a serious competitor.
