According to Bloomberg, Huawei offered to help app developers enter the Chinese market in 2018 if they adapt apps for the App Gallery. Given recent events, the Chinese vendor has no options but to develop its own infrastructure.
Note that Huawei is highly dependent on third-party applications and the Google platform, as well as hardware solution providers. And if the latter can still be partially implemented on their own, then the situation with the software leaves much to be desired. After all, a ban on cooperation with American companies will deprive the Huawei app store of customers from Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and others that belong to American companies.
This means that the App Gallery will not have the most popular applications, which will automatically devalue it in both Western and Eastern countries.
