The Chinese company Huawei has released a new entry-level smartphone called Huawei Y6s. The device is built on the MediaTek Helio P35 chip and has access to Google Mobile Services.
The new product received from the developers a 6,09-inch display that supports a resolution of 1560 × 720 pixels (corresponding to the HD+ format). The screen occupies 87% of the entire front surface of the case. At the top of the display there is a small teardrop-shaped cutout, which houses an 8-megapixel front camera. As for the main camera, it is located on the back of the body and is a 13 megapixel sensor that supports autofocus and is complemented by an LED flash. In addition, there is a place for a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.
The performance of the Huawei Y6s smartphone is provided by an 8-core MediaTek Helio P35 chip operating at a frequency of up to 2,3 GHz. The IMG PowerVR GE8320 accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. The configuration is complemented by 3 GB of RAM and a built-in 64 GB storage. Installation of microSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB is supported. Autonomous operation is provided by a 3020 mAh battery.
The device supports 4G networks and is also equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 modules. There is a built-in signal receiver for the GPS navigation satellite system, a micro-USB interface for connecting a charger, as well as a 3,5 mm headset jack.
The Huawei Y6s smartphone has dimensions of 156,28 × 73,5 × 8 mm and weighs 150 g. The software platform uses the Android 9.0 (Pie) mobile OS with the proprietary EMUI 9.1 interface. The device will be available in two color options: Starry Black and Orchid Blue. The retail price of the new item has not been announced.
