The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei plans to launch its own music service in Russia by the end of this year, according to the Kommersant newspaper.
We are talking about the streaming platform Huawei Music. The scheme of work involves a monthly subscription to music and video clips. It is noted that the cost of services will be comparable to the corresponding offers of Apple Music and Google Play.
The operation of the Huawei Music service will be supported by the Huawei Cloud infrastructure. The Chinese company is currently negotiating with international music labels to form a catalog of tracks.
The application for accessing the new music service will be pre-installed on smartphones from Huawei and its sister brand Honor. These devices are very popular in Russia, and therefore the Huawei Music service can gain a large number of subscribers in a short time.
However, some experts believe that Huawei has been delayed in entering the Russian music services market. Therefore, the profit from the corresponding proposal may not be too large.
One way or another, Huawei has not yet given official comments on the upcoming launch of the service.
