Hugin 2019.0.0

Hugin is a set of programs designed for stitching panoramas, converting projections, and creating HDR images. Built around the libpano library from the panotools project, but greatly extends its functionality. Includes a graphical user interface, batch manager and a number of command line utilities.

Main changes since version 2018.0.0:

  • Added the ability to import source images from RAW files to TIFF using external RAW converters. Currently available to choose from: dcraw (requires exiftool in addition), RawTherapee or darktable.
  • Added the ability to compress the dynamic range of the resulting panorama. When outputting in integer notation (LDR) (when the original images in individual sectors have noticeable deviations in exposure[*]) this gives more information in the shadows, which makes it easier for the stitcher (enblend, verdandi).
  • line_find ignores too short lines. In addition, the search for lines is now performed only in the central (vertically[*]) panorama areas, nadir and zenith neighborhoods are excluded.
  • New hotkeys for changing the scale in the mask editor (0, 1 and 2).
  • The expression parser can now read all image variables.
  • A new command line parameter has been added to pano_modify: --projection-parameter. Allows you to set the parameters of the output projection.
  • Some fixes in how align_image_stack works with EXR images.

Of the changes that were not included in the official list of changes, it is necessary to especially note the ability to set sorting in the lists in the checkpoint editor (well, finally !!!).
