I2P 0.9.46

I2P 0.9.46

On May 25, 2020, another update of the I2P router was released, designed to create a decentralized, anonymous and censorship-resistant network that supports TCP and UDP and is able to host any type of service. The planned update was prepared exactly three months after the release of the last one. As always, the developers recommend updating as soon as possible, as this is the best way to ensure the security and health of the network.

The new version includes the following changes and fixes:

  • i2p source code can be downloaded using git
  • Fixed a bug in i2psnark (ed. note: built-in torrent client) that caused downloads to automatically get BAD status after i2p reboot.
  • jrobin replaced with RRD4J 3.5
  • Enabled test support for ECIES-X25519-AEAD-Ratchet encryption
  • Added support for ECIES encrypted response to lookup requests in NetDB
  • Improved TCP streaming performance by using Westwood+ congestion control
  • Redesigned editor design in Hidden Services Manager
  • Fixed ability to change shared client settings for running tunnels in Hidden Service Manager
  • i2psnark will connect to seeds to load new download comments
  • i2psnark can now process .torrent files directly by specifying a path instead of an address when adding a download. Previously, this required placing the .torrent in a specific folder
  • Support for base32 addresses in SusiDNS
  • Added support for Jetty GzipHandler for Jetty 2+ for eepsite (editor's note: sites in i9.3p)

And other tweaks and improvements
