The announcement of a very interesting novelty was timed by Acer for the IFA 2019 exhibition: the C250i portable projector, designed for use primarily with smartphones, debuted.
The developer calls the novelty the world's first projector with automatic switching to portrait mode: it can transmit the contents of a smartphone screen without any black bars on the sides without any special settings. This mode is useful when viewing materials shot on a cellular device in a vertical orientation.
The unique cylindrical shape allows the device to project images in different planes - on walls, ceilings or any other surface - without the use of any stands or tripods. Users can rotate the projector until they find the best angle to project the image. And if you install the device vertically, it will be possible to project horizontally onto the wall and activate the mode with automatic change of image orientation.
The novelty forms a picture with Full HD resolution (1920 Γ 1080 pixels). The contrast ratio is 5000:1, the brightness is 300 ANSI lumens. The projector can operate from the built-in battery for up to five hours.
Among other things, you need to highlight 5W stereo speakers, an HDMI interface, USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports, and a microSD slot. Android and iOS users can connect to the projector wirelessly.
The novelty will appear in Europe in January 2020 at a price of 539 euros.
