Edition IGN has published a 14-minute video demonstrating the gameplay of Mafia: Definitive Edition. According to the description, what is happening on the screen is commented by the president and creative director of the studio Hangar 13 Haden Blackman (Haden Blackman). He talks about the changes that have been made.
The main part of the video took the performance of one of the game missions on the farm. The authors showed several cut-scenes and skirmishes with enemies.
According to Blackman, the remake of the original Mafia was being worked on by many of the studio's veterans who were involved in its creation in 2002. The developers have introduced into the game modern technologies that have appeared since the release of the project. They updated the graphics, sound, lighting and other components. In addition, the authors used motion capture technology to provide realistic facial animation in cutscenes and cutscenes.
The Mafia remake introduced new scenes and dialogue, but according to the developer, the plot remained very close to the original game. The studio also tried to create the most atmospheric levels typical for the entire franchise.
Apparently, IGN released the gameplay demo ahead of time.
