The game "Fox Hunt", created for microcalculators MK-61, is adapted for Linux

Initially, the program with the game "Fox Hunting" for calculators of the MK-61 type was published in the 12th issue of the journal "Science and Life" for 1985 (author A. Neschetny). Subsequently, a number of versions were released for various systems. Now this game adapted and for Linux. The editorial is based on version for ZX-Spectrum (you can run the emulator in a browser).

The project is written in C using Wayland and the Vulkan API. The author's code is published as public domain. To play music, the AY-3-8912 processor emulator, derived from an earlier version, is used unrealspeccy, thus the composite work may be subject to the terms of the GPL. Prepared executable file for systems based on the AMD64 architecture.

Rules of the game: "Foxes" are located in random cells - radio transmitters that send a signal "I'm here" on the air. The "Hunter" is armed with a direction finder with a directional antenna, so that the signals of the "foxes" are received vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Target:
find "foxes" in the minimum number of moves. The found "fox" (unlike the original) is removed from the field.
