Team Fortress 2 players will keep rare items obtained due to the crate bug

Valve has announced that it will not remove rare items from Team Fortress 2 users who received them thanks to a bug with crates. This is reported on the project website.

As the developers noted, they made this decision because a small part of users were able to obtain rare items. Additionally, the studio will allow players to sell one item. The rest cannot be transferred, gifted or sold. Valve will also restore items to those who deleted them when a bug was discovered.

The exact timing of adding the sales feature will be announced later. The company is also ready to return funds to everyone who bought hats, keys and boxes in the Steam store.

On July 26, an update was released in Team Fortress 2, due to which a bug appeared: when opening boxes, users received only rare cosmetic items. Previously, the chance of their loss was about 1%. This broke the economy of the game - goods fell several times in price.
