The Republic of Gamers (ROG) division of ASUS is preparing to release a second-generation gaming smartphone ROG Phone.
The original ROG Phone, we recall, debuted last summer at Computex 2018. The device received a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160 Γ 1080 pixels (Full HD +), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a dual camera, etc. Implemented AirTriggers control system based on ultrasonic sensors. A variety of gaming accessories are available for the smartphone.
According to the DigiTimes resource, citing industry sources, ASUS plans to release the second generation ROG Phone in the third quarter of this year.
Nothing is said about the characteristics of the novelty. But we can assume that the smartphone will carry a Snapdragon 855 processor (eight Kryo 485 cores with a clock speed of 1,80 GHz to 2,84 GHz and an Adreno 640 graphics accelerator), as well as at least 8 GB of RAM. Most likely, the novelty will inherit design features from the progenitor.
