ASUS has announced Strix G portable computers in the Republic of Gamers (ROG) product family, claiming that the new products are relatively affordable gaming laptops that will allow users to join the world of ROG.
The series includes the ROG Strix G G531 and ROG Strix G G731 models, equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 15,6 and 17,3 inches, respectively. The refresh rate can be 60 or 144 Hz. The resolution in all cases is 1920 Γ 1080 pixels (Full HD format).
For the younger version, a choice of Intel Core i9-9880H, Core i7-9750H and Core i5-9300H processors is available. The laptop can be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1650, GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 discrete graphics accelerator.
High-end buyers will be able to choose between the Core i7-9750H and Core i5-9300H chips, as well as between the GeForce GTX 1650, GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 graphics cards.
Both laptops can carry up to 32GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. It is possible to install a fast M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with a capacity of up to 1 TB (512 GB for the younger model) and a 1 TB hard drive.
Other equipment includes a backlit keyboard, 802.11ac Wave 2 Gigabit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 adapters, USB 3.1 and HDMI 2.0 ports. The operating system is Windows 10.
The novelties received a highly efficient cooling system and proprietary Aura Sync RGB lighting. The price, unfortunately, has not yet been revealed, but it is said that it will be lower compared to other ASUS gaming laptops.
