As you can see in the renders created by the LetsGoDigital resource based on the published information, the device will bend in the central part - by analogy with traditional clamshells. In this case, the halves of the display will be inside the case.

It is reported that the device is designed with an eye on gamers. When unfolded, the smartphone will have a very elongated shape, which will allow you to use the sides of the flexible screen to display virtual controls and at the same time leave enough space in the central area for the main picture.

You can see the symmetrical USB Type-C port in the images. At the same time, the cameras are not visible either from the back or from the front.

The patent application was filed back in 2017, but the document has only just been made public. Sharp itself has not yet said anything about plans to bring the described device to the commercial market.
