The project's founders include Red Hat, Google, Intel, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Samsung, SiFive, Andes, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek, Rivos, T-Head, and Ventana, who have expressed their willingness to fund the project or provide engineering resources.
Of the open source projects that the project participants plan to focus on and work to improve RISC-V support, the following are mentioned:
- Tools and compilers: LLVM and GCC.
- Libraries: Glibc, OpenSSL, OpenBLAS, LAPACK, OneDAL, Jemalloc.
- Core Linux.
- Subscriptions Android.
- Languages ββand runtime: Python, OpenJDK/Java, V8 JavaScript engine.
