Instagram develops new account blocking rules

Network sources report that soon a new system for blocking and deleting user accounts will begin to operate on the Instagram social network. The new rules will fundamentally change Instagram's approach to when a user account must be deleted due to violations. Currently, the social network has a system that allows a "certain percentage" of violations for any time period before the account is blocked. However, this approach may be biased for users who post a large number of posts. The more messages posted from one account, the more violations of the rules of the network can be associated with them.

The developers do not disclose all the details related to the new account deletion rules. It is only known that for all users the number of permissible violations for a certain time period will be the same, regardless of how often new messages are published. Instagram representatives say that the number of allowed violations will remain undisclosed, since the disclosure of this information may play into the hands of some users, who often deliberately violate the rules of the network. Despite this, the developers believe that the new set of rules will allow more consistent action against violators.

It is also reported that Instagram users will be able to appeal the deletion of a message directly in the application. All innovations are part of a program aimed at combating violators who post prohibited content online or publish false information.
