Instagram has recently been actively improving the user environment of its mobile platform. It seems that soon the social network will provide an opportunity to more simply and conveniently unsubscribe from others.
The new feature was discovered by blogger Jane Wong and provides a convenient way to unfollow people when visiting their profile through the menu. Until now, you either had to look through the list of subscribers to find the right person and unfollow him there; or block the user and then unblock him. Now these non-obvious and somewhat confusing procedures will become easier.
The current ways of removing followers would be either
1. Going to your own followers list, search the specific follower, and remove them from the list, or
2. Blocking the follower and then unblock them
This feature makes the process more streamlined

Jane noted that this feature is currently being rolled out for the test build of the iOS app, and will soon appear for Android users. It is not known if it will make it to the stable build of Instagram, and if so, when exactly this will happen.
