Intel has been preparing new Comet Lake-S desktop processors for quite some time, and judging by the rumors, it has finally decided on the announcement date. According to El Chapuzas Informatico, 30th generation Intel Core desktop processors will be released on April XNUMXth.
True, only the so-called “paper announcement” will take place at the end of next month. New items will go on sale sometime later. In addition, reviews of Comet Lake-S desktop models will not be published until May. Along with the reviews, LGA 1200 motherboards for them, built on Intel 400-series system logic chips, will also be presented.
If the rumors are true, then it turns out that next month Intel will introduce two families of tenth-generation Core processors at once: desktop Comet Lake-S and high-performance mobile Comet Lake-H. The latter, we recall, should debut on April XNUMX, and laptops based on them will allegedly appear by the middle of the month.
The Comet Lake-S desktop processor family will feature models with up to ten cores and clock speeds up to 5,3GHz. The novelties will be made in a case for the LGA 1200 processor socket and will work with the Intel 400 series chipsets mentioned above.
