Intel mentions the proximity of the announcement of discrete graphics in a celebratory video

Reporting third-quarter results, Intel CEO Robert Swan said that samples of the first discrete 10nm graphics processor are already successfully operating in the company's laboratories. It is planned to be presented in the second half of 2020, although there is no exact information on the timing yet. In any case, this is what the holiday video created by Intel's public relations specialist hints at.

Intel mentions the proximity of the announcement of discrete graphics in a celebratory video

In the spring of 2019, Intel hired a well-known blogger among the English-speaking audience of social networks, Chris Pirillo, who has many years of experience in various media projects, one way or another related to technical topics. Apparently, Chris was tasked with promoting graphics solutions on social networks, and about the approaching announcement of the DG1 GPU, he reminded in a humorous song that ended with a mention of the Intel Odyssey event series. The latter are organized by the company to receive feedback from potential and existing users of its graphic solutions - so far exclusively integrated. According to unofficial reports, some details about the DG1 will be revealed at CES 2020 in early January.

This can hardly be considered an accident, but Raja Koduri in his Twitter posted a photo with the DG1 development team based in Folsom, California. The senior vice president of Intel expressed his gratitude to everyone who helps create discrete graphics DG1, and associated special hopes with the coming 2020, indirectly hinting at the announcement period. At the meeting with the developers, Coduri’s favorite delicacy was traditionally served - ice cream.
