March 16, Fortune magazine published a ranking of the best design solutions of our time. The list turned out to be quite diverse and, first of all, includes devices that have improved a person's life or changed the usual ways of human interaction with objects. The top ten of such devices included as many as three products designed and manufactured by Apple.
First place in the ranking was taken by the original iPhone, released in 2007. The smartphone has radically changed the world of mobile devices, showed humanity how convenient and organic interaction between a person and a smartphone can be. With the iPhone, the fashion for touch devices began. Apple's first phone overthrew such leaders in the mobile market as Nokia, Sony-Ericsson and Blackberry.
Second place in the ranking belongs to the personal computer Apple Macintosh, which became the first public computer with a graphical interface. The Macintosh undoubtedly made the PC industry what it is today, where even children can use the computer.
Another Apple device closes the top ten. This is a portable iPod that turned out to be not only a very convenient device that allowed music lovers to always have their entire music collection with them, but also turned the entire recording industry upside down.
In addition to Apple products, the top ten included: Google search engine (3rd place), Ames fiberglass chair (4th place), Walkman cassette player (5th place), OXO Good Grips knife (6th place). 7th, 8th and 9th places belong to Uber, Netflix and Lego, respectively.
