A study conducted by analysts at Counterpoint Research suggests that last year Apple devices became the best-selling smartphones globally.
So, the iPhone X device turned out to be the leader in terms of sales among individual smartphone models in 2018. It is followed by three more "apple" devices - iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7. Thus, Apple models occupy the first four positions in by Counterpoint Research.
On the fifth line in the list of the most popular smartphones in the world was the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. It is followed by the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Seventh and eighth places also went to Apple - they are located respectively smartphones iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
The ninth position is occupied by the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy J6 closes the top ten.
According to Counterpoint Research, in the first quarter of 2019, about 345,0 million smartphones were sold worldwide. This is about 5% less than last year's result, when shipments were estimated at 361,6 million units.
