The iPhone XR was released last year as a cheaper alternative to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Although it received some simplifications like an LCD panel instead of OLED and one rear camera instead of two, the smartphone was equipped with the same A12 Bionic single-chip system as older models. The phone is a success, and Apple is expected to offer a successor to the public this year (let's tentatively call it the iPhone XR 2019).
It will still be a brightly colored device, but some changes are expected. Japanese resource announced that this year the iPhone XR will be released in 6 color options. It will be white, black, yellow and special red, along with new green and lilac to replace the existing blue and coral colors.

They showed the iPhone XR 2019 in existing colors: in particular, in blue and coral variants. The front of the handset is expected to remain unchanged, with a 6,1-inch display with a wide top notch that most leading smartphone makers have already moved away from. The main innovations in Apple's design concern the rear side of the device. The rear camera of the iPhone XR 2019 will become double and will be placed in a square module next to the LED flash. The entire back side will now be covered with protective glass. The dimensions of the device will be 150,9 Γ 76 Γ 8,3 mm (thickness 9,1 mm, taking into account the protrusion). It will be equipped with the new A13 Bionic single-chip system. Unlike last year's model, the device will allegedly come with an 18W charger - however, the battery capacity is not called.
The iPhone XR 2019 is due out in September along with the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max (the latter are expected to get a triple camera this time).
