Hello! We have made changes to ΠΈ . The text of the documents remained almost the same, but the legal entity representing the service changed. If previously the service was managed by the Russian company Habr LLC, now our parent company, Habr Blockchain Publishing Ltd, registered and operating in the jurisdiction and under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and the European Union, has taken the reins.
Habr was conceived as an industry project for those involved in the information technology industry. In 2006, few people imagined that over time a small industry site would not only turn into a market giant, but also begin expanding into the global Internet.
Since 2019, we have been offering our users the opportunity to post English-language content and use the service in English-language interfaces. Already, almost 400 thousand users visit the English-language Habr every month, many of whom register and begin to actively use the resource. This is a great result and we want to move on.
To simplify the perception and positioning of Habr on the global Internet, it was decided to restructure work with the resource so that it was perceived not as a local Russian project, but as a global one. For this purpose, we, among other things, have made changes to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy. The documents are not in final form at this time and will likely be updated in the future to comply with legal requirements.
Changes to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy will not only help Habr be more transparent and position itself as a global project, but will also help simplify work with our clients who are not residents of the Russian Federation. Habr has more and more such clients, as well as users who do not speak Russian.
At the moment, we have not yet completed all the planned changes in our structure, but the finish line is already visible. As soon as we finish, we will tell you in more detail.
