Developers from the Parisian studio Amplitude continue to talk about the ambitious historical 4X strategy Humankind,
According to the project's executive producer Jean-Maxime Moris (Jean-Maxime Moris), the main thing in Humankind is "the player's journey through history." There is only one victory condition - glory (Fame). As civilization progresses, players will receive Era Stars, which can be turned into glory points. Stars are categorized according to different play styles. Each of them is associated with different indicators: population growth, the expansion of cities and cultural influence, the development of technology, victories in battles. In addition, fame points are awarded for circumnavigating the world and building wonders of the world.
The stars also allow you to move into a new era. In total, the game has six eras - from the Bronze Age to the New Age. At the time of the transition, players will be allowed to either choose a new culture (there are 60 of them - ten for each era), or continue with the current one. Each one features a unique notable unit, city block, special skill, and heritage trait that civilization will keep forever. The developers do not want to push gamers to change culture - if they wish, they will be able to develop one throughout the game. In this case, they will lose the benefits of the new culture, but they will receive additional fame points.
