“What are you guys sometimes naive”: a former insider denied recent rumors about GTA Online and GTA VI
GTA Series Videos YouTube channel moderator and "former insider" under the pseudonym Yan2295 in my microblog commented on recent rumors about the upcoming update of GTA Online and the location of GTA VI.
Recall that the other day game portals noticed to a three-month-old post from Reddit user markothemexicam, who identified himself as a roommate of a former Rockstar North programmer.
According to markothemexicam, GTA Online's December update will allegedly feature Liberty City and a heist featuring Grand Theft Auto IV characters, while Grand Theft Auto VI will take place in Vice City.
The "leaked patch notes" for GTA Online that's floating around today is fake, and so is everything posted by markothemexicam on Reddit. It's honestly quite obvious, but some of you guys are just so gullible…
Yan2295 categorically denied the information disseminated by markothemexicam and complained about the gullibility of some members of the Grand Theft Auto community who were especially hungry for new content.
“The “leaked changelog” for GTA Online circulating today has nothing to do with the truth, like all posts by markothemexicam on Reddit. To be honest, it's pretty obvious, but how naive you guys are sometimes…" Yan2295 said.
In April, former Kotaku news editor Jason Schreier confirmed that Rockstar Games' next game would indeed be Grand Theft Auto VI. However, the release is still far away - the project is at an early stage of development.
In the meantime, released back in 2013 Grand Theft Auto V continues to conquer new platforms. The cult crime thriller in the open world will appear on PlayStation 5 already in 2021.
