Fujifilm's security camera is able to read license plates of cars at a distance of 1 km

Fujifilm is gearing up to enter the surveillance camera market with the SX800. The presented camera supports 40x zoom and is designed specifically for security at international borders and large commercial facilities.

The camera is equipped with a lens with a focal length of 20 to 800 mm and an additional digital zoom. The device is able to form a clear image of distant objects through the use of high-performance optical image stabilization technology, high-quality thermal fog reduction, and high-speed focusing. The developers say that the full equivalent focal length of the Fujifilm SX800 is 1000 mm, which means that the camera is able to focus on license plates of cars that are 1 km away.

This product is capable of compensating for Β±0,22Β° of correction angle at any focal length, allowing you to achieve the highest image stabilization performance. The camera is suitable for use at high altitudes, in strong winds, and in other places where strong vibrations may occur, including near highways and airports.

The developers say that the SX800 can be used in a variety of places, including borders, forest areas, public facilities, highways, harbors, etc. From an economic point of view, the use of the SX800 also makes sense, since fewer cameras will cover a large area. For ordinary people, the presented camera can serve as a kind of reminder that even if you do not see a surveillance camera nearby, this does not mean that it does not exist.

Although the Fujifilm SX800 camera will be available on July 26, its price has not yet been announced.
