The South Korean company Samsung Electronics introduced portable solid state drives (SSD) T5 series in new color options.
Samsung T5 family devices back in the summer of 2017. They are made using 64-layer 3D V-NAND flash memory microchips. Connection to a computer is via USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface with a bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps.
Initially, the drives were offered in blue and black cases. Now, these options have added bright versions of Rose Gold ("rose gold") and Metallic Red ("red metallic").
New items are available in two capacity options - 500 GB and 1 TB. Dimensions are 74 Γ 57,3 Γ 10,5 mm, weight - only 51 grams.
The declared data transfer rate reaches 540 MB/s. Supports encryption of information using the AES algorithm with a key length of 256 bits.
The package includes USB Type-C to USB Type-C and USB Type-C to USB Type-A cables. The price of the 500GB version is $170, the 1TB version is $340.
