Card role-playing game Black Book will tell about a Russian witch of the XNUMXth century

Developers from the Perm studio Morteshka and publishing house HypeTrain Digital presented the card role-playing game Black Book.

The project is scheduled to release this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (in Steam). “The young peasant woman Vasilisa is destined to become a witch,” the authors say. - The girl decides to avoid the evil fate and marry her lover. But dreams are not destined to come true: her betrothed tragically dies under strange circumstances.

The loss returns the heroine to the road leading into darkness. Vasilisa turns to the Black Book, which she got with dark knowledge. It is believed that this ominous tome will grant any wish of the one who manages to remove all seven seals from it. Having set off on a journey through the gloomy snowy expanses of the Russian Empire of the XNUMXth century, we will explore the world, communicate with various characters and fight evil spirits. We are waiting for a three-dimensional world and turn-based battles using maps. “Help the peasants and cast out demons, boldly stand against evil spirits, but be careful - it’s easy to stumble on the magical road!” the authors add.

Developers are inspired by northern Russian mythology, which can be found not only through the gameplay, but also in the in-game encyclopedia, created with the help of experienced folklorists.
