Western Digital has begun deliveries of WD Purple QD101 flash cards, which are being prepared for the first time last fall.
A feature of the new products is increased reliability. Products are designed for use in video surveillance systems operating around the clock (24/7).
96-layer 3D TLC NAND memory is used: this technology provides for the storage of three bits of information in one cell.
The products are classified as Speed ββClass 10 U1. The declared operating temperature range extends from minus 25 to plus 85 degrees Celsius.
The WD Purple QD101 series includes five models - with a capacity of 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512 GB.
The new memory cards can be used indoors and outdoors. We are talking about protection from high humidity.
